Auriga appoints new Corporate Services Director to support more people facing cost of living crisis

Vulnerability grants and services expert Auriga Services has announced the appointment of a new Director of Corporate Services to support its drive to assist more than half a million people, as the cost of living crisis deepens this winter.

A qualified accountant and former financial director, Katy Oram brings considerable transformational experience to the West Midlands-based public benefit organisation having worked with Drayton Manor at a key time of financial change for the business. She looks forward to being able to bring her knowledge and experience of systems and processes, as well as empowering internal partners to create value.

Auriga Services Chief Executive, Jill Wheeler said: “We are absolutely delighted that Katy has joined the team at such an exceptional time for Auriga, which last year saw a 90% increase in the amount of charitable grants we have administered due to the cost of living crisis.

“Auriga administers more than £42 million in charitable grants and supports around 420,000 people each year on behalf of water, energy, local authority, social housing, and charity partners that, now more than ever, are accountable to their customers and communities to do the right thing.”

Katy Oram said: “Because of the cost of living crisis, the need for Auriga to administer funds to the right people at the right time is growing significantly and we must be able to respond to that quickly and efficiently. Updating our internal and external systems, adapting the way we work with partners as well as driving the change internally, will allow us to add more value where it’s needed.

“I’m really excited to be joining such a passionate and driven team at this key time and look forward to ensuring more people have access to the help and support that we offer on behalf of our partners.”
